At Hofsnäs in Tranemo Municipality, this male common chaffinch seemed entirely untroubled by my presence. I stood about three metres away for a couple of minutes while it gathered food and carried on, taking the opportunity to make a series of photographs. I remember how cold the day felt; around that time, the air was about 4°C with a brisk wind.
