Terms of Use

Last updated: September 4, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to the Nordic Forest Echoes website and its publicly available text, photographs, audio, video and other material. Nordic Forest Echoes is operated by P-A Jonasson in Sweden.

1. Using the website

You may browse, listen to and link to the website for lawful personal and informational purposes. By using the website, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

2. Intellectual property

Unless a specific item says otherwise, the website and its original text, photographs, field recordings, films, graphics, design and metadata are owned by P-A Jonasson / Nordic Forest Echoes or used with permission. Copyright and other intellectual-property rights remain with their respective owners.

Access to the website does not transfer ownership or grant a licence beyond the limited permission stated in these terms or any licence displayed with a particular item.

3. What you may do

  • view and listen to publicly available material through the website;
  • share ordinary links to public pages;
  • quote short extracts where permitted by applicable law, with accurate attribution and a link to the source;
  • use a download only under the licence or conditions displayed with that download.

4. What you may not do without permission

Except where applicable law expressly allows it, you may not:

  • copy, republish, redistribute, sell, license or commercially exploit website material;
  • remove copyright notices, attribution, metadata or provenance information;
  • present Nordic Forest Echoes, P-A Jonasson or any website material as endorsing a person, business, product or service;
  • use the material in advertising, fabricated endorsements or misleading contexts;
  • use automated systems for bulk downloading, scraping or mirroring the website, or bypass access controls, rate limits or security measures;
  • collect or use website material to train, fine-tune, evaluate or supply a machine-learning or generative-AI system without prior written permission;
  • use the website or its material in an unlawful way or in a way that infringes another person's rights.

5. Downloads and separate licences

A download button or playable item does not by itself grant permission to reuse the underlying work. If a page or file includes separate licence terms, those specific terms apply to that item and take priority over conflicting parts of these general terms.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter signup is voluntary and separate from acceptance of these terms. Subscriptions use double opt-in and can be cancelled at any time through the unsubscribe link in each message. Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. External links and services

The website may link to or rely on third-party services. Nordic Forest Echoes does not control external websites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

8. Availability and accuracy

Nordic Forest Echoes aims to keep the website and its editorial and technical information accurate and available, but does not guarantee that access will be uninterrupted or that every detail will always be complete or error-free. Content, metadata and site functions may be corrected, changed or removed.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, use of the website is at your own risk. Nordic Forest Echoes is not responsible for indirect loss arising from temporary unavailability, reliance on general informational content, or use of external websites. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or affects mandatory rights you may have.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the website, its services or applicable requirements change. The current version and update date are published on this page.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute is subject to the competent Swedish courts, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms or requests for permission may be sent to [email protected].
