Forest Floor Treasures

The oak woodland behind this little patch of ground gives the photograph the depth I like so much. Plants, mosses and lichens fill the foreground, each contributing something different within a very small space. I made the photograph at Hofsnäs on an overcast October afternoon. Nature is remarkable at this scale.
