This was the same mink I had photographed in the previous image. At Karlavik, on the shores of Lake Åsunden near Hofsnäs, in Tranemo Municipality.
, I tried to creep closer, but it did not appreciate that and hid among the rocks. For a little while, it became a game of cat and mouse before the mink paused long enough for me to make this photograph beneath a clear evening sky. It was the first time I had been so close to a wild mink, and it felt like a blessed moment.
