After winter and the break-up of the ice, I always welcome the chance to visit Lake Åsunden at Hofsnäs and see life around the water return. The afternoon was overcast when I photographed this pair of great crested grebes. They were a simple early-spring reminder of why it is so good to be out by the lake again.
