I made this photograph beside the Österdalälven in Dalarna’s Älvdalen Municipality, looking towards Åsendammen in the early morning, when the temperature was around 10°C. I had the excellent company of roughly four billion mosquitoes, yet I stayed by the water for about an hour, taking in the view before packing up. Despite the mosquitoes, it was a magical morning.
