On my walk back from the Österdalälven River to the cabin in Älvdalens Municipality, I felt compelled to stop for this stream winding down the rocky slope. It was a cool, mainly clear early morning. To me, the scene felt like an archetype of Dalarna’s enchanted forests—inviting and just a little spooky at the same time.
