At Hofsnäs in Tranemo Municipality, I lay on my stomach as close to this grass snake as I could while still keeping focus. In light drizzle, with the camera set to high-speed continuous shooting, I fired burst after burst before realising there was another grass snake only a couple of metres away. I did not think I had taken an excessive number of photographs, but the computer showed 973 when I transferred them. Well, better safe than sorry.
