Autumn Fungi on a Mossy Tree Stump

At Hofsnäs in Tranemo Municipality, I worked from a low angle until the stump began to resemble a small landscape: the fungi became trees, with spider silk stretched between them. Under an overcast sky, the blurred woodland kept the setting present without drawing attention from the textures. What held me was the life appearing in wood already breaking down—the stillness and curiosity that come from stopping long enough to really look.
