What I like most here is the colour contrast: the warm green needles against the cold blue background, with ice crystals catching the light. In Länghem, the sky was clear and the temperature was around −6°C when I made the photograph. The crystals along the needles brought to mind the constant struggle for survival in the winter landscape.
