Eurasian Nuthatch on Tree Trunk

While photographing this Eurasian nuthatch at Hofsnäs in Tranemo Municipality, I was reminded that, as far as I know, nuthatches are the only birds that pay no attention to gravity. They run along tree trunks any way they please, upright or upside down. In the clear late-afternoon light, the sight was fascinating and entertaining in equal measure.
